Riccardo Giacconi presents his new performance 'Controvena' during the performance festival 'Reims Scènes d'Europe' curated by Florence Derieux and Antoine Marchand. The performance starts at 14.00.

The performance created and presented by Riccardo Giacconi as part of the 'Reims, Scènes d’Europe' festival, titled 'Controvena', originates in research initiated last year by the artist, following the discovery of documents belonging to his grandfather, Guido Tallei. Among them was his diary, in which he described his life as an engineer under the Italian fascist government. Giacconi also found preparatory notes for a letter which his grandfather wanted to send to Benito Mussolini, somewhere between criticism and a call for help, underscoring in particular his own contribution as an engineer for the fascist government. 'Controvena' is based on these archives, and takes the form of a radio play presented live.
