Individual Project

As part of the exhibition 'Future Africa Visions in Time' at Bayreuth University, Ato Malinda exhibits drawings of a transgender man living in Canada who is originally from Kenya.

This exhibition project pairs artists with social researchers, each producing a project. The pairs have worked together to contribute toward their vision of Africa’s future. Malinda worked with sociologist Sybille Bauriedl to produce a project titled 'queer volatility; indecipherable achievement of a socially utopic state'.
