Public Defense

On Wednesday 9 December at 13.45 visual artist Ruchama Noorda publicly defends her dissertation entitled ℞eform at Leiden University. The exhibition ℞eFormat takes place in the Gallery of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague from 27 November until 14 December 2015. This exhibition presents art work that Noorda made within the framework of her PhD research.

Noorda investigates the cultural, artistic and spiritual legacy of the late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century Lebensreform (Life Reform) movement in relation to her artistic practice. She focuses on both the history of the Lebensreform movement and its impact on contemporary art, as well as on her own roots growing up in an anthroposophical family.

Exhibition ℞eformat:
November 27 until December 14, 2015 in the Gallery of the Royal Academy of Art, Prinsessegracht 4, The Hague. Opening hours: Daily 10.00-21.00, Friday 10.00- 18.00, Saturday 11.00 - 16.00, Sunday closed.
