Joost Grootens gives a lecture at the symposium ‘La Laboratoire de Graphique de Jacques Bertin EHESS, 1954–2000’ at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS).
On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of Bertin’s ‘Sémiologie graphique’ in 1967, the symposium investigated the legacy of the book in contemporary practices of cartography, information design and data visualization.
