Lorenzo Benedetti (1972, IT) is a curator at Kunstmuseum St.Gallen (CH). He studied Art History at La Sapienza in Rome and attended the Curatorial Programme at De Appel Arts Centre in Amsterdam (NL). In 2005 he founded the Sound Art Museum in Rome - a space dedicated to sound in visual art. He was director of De Appel Arts Centre, De Vleeshal (NL), art centre Volume! (IT) and curator at the Museum Marta Herford (DE). He was curator of the Dutch Pavilion for the 55th Venice Biennale, guest curator at La Kunsthalle in Mulhouse (FR) and tutor at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht (NL). Benedetti writes regularly for exhibition catalogues and art magazines.
